How do I find you?

We are located in Ferring, West Sussex, on Littlehampton Road (A259). Turn left off the A259 at the sign for 'Enclosed and Secure Dog Walking' and drive straight on past the 'Eastlands' sign until you reach a set of automatic gates. Go through the gates and follow the road round to the right until you see the paddocks entry gates, which are marked as North Paddock and South Paddock. Our What3Words location is ///chained.barks.things.

Will I meet other dogs during my session?

Your booking is private and the fields are secure, with a buffer time so dogs don't come into contact. However, please note that while privet hedges have been planted along the fence lines for screening, they are still growing and the paddocks currently have a full view of each other. Your dogs may therefore be able to see other dogs using the paddocks during their visit.

How long are your dog field sessions?

We offer 25-minute and 55-minute exclusive hire sessions. Each booking includes a short buffer period between customers to help keep dogs separated and stress-free.

When should I arrive for my booking?

Please arrive a few minutes before your session but remain in your car until the previous customer has left.

What happens if I arrive late?

Your session will still end at the scheduled time so that the next customer can enjoy their private slot safely.

Can I pay in cash on arrival?

Accepted Answer

No, all bookings are made online through our website and must be paid in advance. We don’t accept cash payments.

Can I cancel or reschedule my session?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your booking by logging into your account. After that time, bookings are non-refundable and can’t be moved.

Can dogs be off lead in the paddock?

Accepted Answer

Yes — that’s exactly what our private dog walking fields are for! However, owners remain fully responsible for their dog’s behaviour and safety at all times.

Is the fencing secure?

Most fencing is around 6ft high and regularly checked, but no field can be completely escape-proof. Please consider your dog’s abilities before letting them off lead.

Can I bring children, friends or family?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! You’re welcome to share the space with friends or family members, but children must be supervised at all times as the paddock is a natural outdoor environment. Please note that a maximum of four dogs and two vehicles per booking is allowed, and the person making the booking is responsible for ensuring everyone in their group follows our paddock rules and stays safe during the visit.

Are reactive or nervous dogs welcome?

Yes — many customers choose Eastlands Paddocks because they want a quiet, private dog exercise field.

However, please note that while privet hedges have been planted along the fence lines for screening, they are still growing and the paddocks currently have a full view of each other. Your dogs may therefore be able to see other dogs using the paddocks during their visit.

The North Paddock has horses in the field next door, so we recommend booking the South Paddock if your dog is reactive to horses.

Do I need to pick up after my dog?

Yes please — keeping the paddock clean helps everyone enjoy a safe, pleasant space. Biodegradable poo bags and bins are provided.

Can I use agility equipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but please use it responsibly and avoid equipment in wet or icy conditions. All equipment is used at your own risk.

Can I bring my dog if they’ve been unwell?

Accepted Answer

To protect all visiting dogs, please don’t attend if your dog has been unwell recently or shown symptoms such as kennel cough, sickness, or diarrhoea.

Where do I park?

Please park on the hardstanding inside the field gate only. A maximum of two vehicles per booking is allowed.

Are banned breeds allowed?

We welcome responsible owners and well-cared-for dogs, however we cannot accept any dogs prohibited under the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991). This helps us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all visitors using our secure dog walking fields.
