Eastlands Paddocks Dog Walking Fields

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.0 Duration of the booking and buffer period

1.1.1 Each session is 25-minutes or 55-minutes; this is to allow a 5-minute buffer period so customers do not come into contact with one another due to reactive dogs using the field

 

1.1.2 If you arrive late or delayed when using the paddock this does not mean you can overrun into the 5-minute buffer period and beyond.
 

1.1.3 If Eastlands Paddocks sees or gets reports that you are not leaving on time, we have the right to remove access to the paddocks and block you from using them in the future.

If the previous appointment is still in the paddock when your booing is due to start, please inform Eastlands paddocks on 07812 575578.
 

1.2 Opening Times

 

 All paddocks run in daylight hours, so these differ throughout the year. If Eastlands Paddocks sees you using the paddock outside of these times, they have the right to remove you from the premises and call the police—this is trespassing.

1.3 Etiquette
 

1.3.1 Please arrive a few minutes before the start of your session. When you arrive at the paddock, you must remain in your car until the person has vacated the paddock. If you arrive early, please wait in a safe place, out of sight of the paddock to avoid distractions to customers within the paddock.

 

1.3.2 You must enter the paddock and close the gate before letting your dog(s) out of your vehicle to ensure the safety of the dog(s), nearby road users and members of the public.

 

1.3.3 Please respect the neighbours. If your dog persistently barks, Eastlands Paddocks has the right to withdraw your use of the paddocks.

1.3.4 Do not use equipment in wet or icy conditions as surfaces become slippery. Eastlands Paddocks takes no responsibility for any dog that gets injured from using any of the equipment in the field.

 

​1.3.5. This agreement does not create any rights over the land and clients hiring the field accept the Landowner and Eastlands Paddocks maintain control and possession of the dog paddocks at all times. Eastlands paddocks and the Landowner reserve the right to access the field while you are in the paddock but Eastlands Paddocks won’t allow multiple bookings.

1.3.6 Abusive behaviour towards our staff and other customers will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from our services.

 

2.0 At your own risk

 

2.1 The paddocks are large outdoor spaces, they contain areas of uneven ground which could be concealed under long grass or other vegetation, have overhanging branches from trees around the edges which may fall or have fallen, and could contain other hazards consistent with the countryside.

2.2 Our paddocks do not offer any artificial lighting due to our planning constraints, therefore in winter months, we do ask that customers prepare beforehand for their sessions, i.e., with torches or headlights.

​

2.3 Use of the paddock shall be entirely at your own risk. The Landowner/Eastlands Paddocks accepts no responsibility for death of, or injury to, any person/dog or for damage to any property. We also accept no liability for any losses, claims, actions, damages, cost/expenses, or other liability incurred by you during the use of the paddock.

 

2.4 You must not seek to limit Eastlands Paddocks or the Landowner’s liability for the death or personal injury of a customer or dog caused by negligence. Notwithstanding Clause 2.3, if Eastlands Paddocks is held liable to the customer for anything except death or personal injury, its liability will be limited up to £10 million.

 

2.5 You agree not to let anyone else into the paddock other than friends or family members you have brought with you to enjoy walking your dogs.

 

2.6 By bringing friends or family, or sending someone in place of you, you agree that you take full responsibility for their safety and for ensuring that they abide by these terms and conditions at all times whilst using the field.

 

2.7 Any use of our agility equipment is completely at your own risk and you are totally responsible for the welfare of your children and dog(s) at all times.

 

2.8 Users must report any accident, incident or injury to us immediately by calling 07812 575578.

 

2.9 Access to the paddocks is on private land, you should only use this access when you have a booking for Eastlands Paddocks.

 

2.10 Our paddocks are located on a working equestrian centre, you should be aware of this and accept any risks of entering a working equestrian centre, especially if your dog was to escape or get injured, and comply with any requirements of the proprietors and their staff.

 

3.0 Child safety

 

3.1 You are welcome to bring your children to the field, but they must be supervised at all times, and you are responsible for making sure they do not injure themselves or break any of these terms or conditions.

 

3.2 Please be aware that the fields have not been made child safe, and users must respect the area and contents.

 

3.3 Children must not be allowed to climb the fences, gates or agility equipment and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

4.0 Fencing 

 

4.1 Although Eastlands Paddocks will be inspecting and maintaining the fence regularly, holes or other damage to the fence may occur from time to time due to a number of reasons, including digging by dogs or other animals, falling trees or branches, and general wear and tear. If you become aware of any issue with the state of the fence, please let Eastlands Paddocks know immediately and they will make our customers and maintenance team aware by calling us on 07812 575578.

 

4.2 Eastland Paddocks aims to be a safe space where you can confidently let your dog(s) off lead without having to worry about recall/the presence of other dog(s). Nevertheless, in the absence of any negligence, Eastlands Paddocks are not responsible for your dog(s) escaping and/or leaving the paddock, or you encountering another dog(s). Eastlands Paddocks doesn’t accept any liability for dogs escaping, or any damage, injury or death resulting from a dog either escaping from a field or a dog they may encounter. You must ensure that, at all times during the use of the paddock, you are a responsible dog owner.

 

4.3 The majority of the fence boundaries are 6 foot (or similar) in height. If your dog(s) breach these boundaries, Eastlands Paddocks will not be held responsible. It is totally and completely your responsibility to gauge your dog’s ability off escaping from these boundaries.

 

 

5.0 Parking & valuables

 

5.1 Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Eastlands Paddocks cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage or loss incurred to vehicles or their contents and valuables. All vehicles visiting the paddocks must be insured.

 

5.2 Please only park on the hardstanding within the field gate and not outside it in any circumstance. Do not park or drive on the grass.

 

5.3 A maximum of one car per booking is allowed.

 

5.4 No one is to arrive on site before their allotted time.

 

5.5 Please be courteous of other users of our car park and do not block in any other car at any time.

 

5.6 Part of the access drive is a public footpath. Customers must be mindful of people who might be walking along the footpath, take care when passing people walking on the footpath and do not exceed a speed of 10 miles per hour on the access drive.

 

6.0 Bookings

 

6.1 All bookings must be paid for in advance.

 

6.2 Payments are to be made via the Eastlands Paddocks website directly, they do not accept cash payment (left in the field or otherwise.

 

6.3 It is possible to both cancel 24-hours prior to your session or reschedule bookings by logging into your account on the Eastlands Paddocks website. If you are past the 24-hour cancellation period you will not be able to reschedule or get a refund for your booking. Eastlands paddocks will not provide a refund for sessions cancelled due to weather conditions within the 24-hour cancellation period.

 

6.4 Eastlands Paddocks reserves the right, at their absolute discretion, and for any reason, to amend or cancel a booking at any time before the commencement of slots; and

 

6.5 If Eastlands Paddocks does amend or cancel a booking, Eastlands Paddocks shall be entitled to offer either an alternative date and time, or a full refund; and

 

6.6 If Eastlands Paddocks offers and alternative date and time, and the customer does not wish to proceed with the amended booking, Eastlands Paddocks will provide a full refund.

 

7.0 Doggie & owner etiquette

 

7.1 Etiquette in our paddocks

 

7.1.1 It is your responsibility to pick up your dog poo, Eastlands Paddocks provides biodegradable poo bags and bins to make it an easy task, this also means keeping an eye on your dog to make sure you don’t miss them pooing around the paddock. Spot checks do take place, if you are caught not picking up your dog’s poo, Eastlands Paddocks have the right to ask you to leave, or if you are a repeat offender, you will be refused access in the paddocks moving forward. Nothing other than dog waste and dog waste bags should be put in the bins e.g. no latex gloves, chewing gum, cigarettes, foot etc in the dog bins.

 

​7.1.2 Please discourage your dog(s) from digging, this can make our fields unsecure and dangerous to others.

 

7.1.3 Any holes dug by your dog must be reported directly, Eastlands Paddocks will send out someone from the maintenance team to come our and refill these — this is for safety and security reasons. Please contact Eastlands Paddocks by calling 07812 575578.

 

7.1.4 Users must ensure the water hose is not left running after use.

 

7.1.5 Do not drop litter or leave toys or uneaten treats in the field or in the shelter. Dogs may swallow them and become ill so take everything home with you at the end of your session. Also, this makes for a lovely clean environment for all the dog walking community.

 

7.1.6 Eastlands Paddocks takes no responsibility for any dog that gets unwell or dies from anything ingested or encounters at any paddock. We also accept no liability for any costs/expenses or any other liability incurred by you during the use of the paddock.

 

7.1.7No smoking anywhere on site.

 

7.1.8 Your booking is for the purposes of dog exercise only, no barbeques, alcohol etc are permitted in the fields.

 

7.1.9 Eastlands Paddocks does not allow anyone to operate or release any high flying object (including a drone), or permit this, while using the field.

 

7.1.10 Please ensure you abide with the local byelaws, you can refer to the relevant local authority website.

 

7.2 Etiquette before you arrive at Eastlands Paddocks

 

7.2.1 Do not bring your dog to the field if they have been unwell in the last 48 hours or your vet has advised not to exercise or socialise with others. Doing so could be harmful to your dog(s) and other dog(s).

 

7.2.2 If your dog is unwell in the field, you must clean up all mess and make sure the paddock is left clean for the next user. If there isn’t a way to clear up this mess than please contact Eastlands Paddocks on 07812 575578 so they can take action.

 

7.2.3 If your dog has signs of Kennel Cough, Sickness or Diarrhoea in the past 72-hours you should not visit Eastlands Paddocks under any circumstance.

 

7.2.4 Your dog(s) must be microchipped (this is a legal requirement pursuant to The Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations 2016).

 

7.2.5 Dogs must be regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention and be fully vaccinated. 

 

7.2.6 We do not accept any dogs banned under The Dangerous Dogs Act (1991). 

 

8.0 Indemnity

 

As a customer of Eastlands Paddocks, you agree to indemnify Eastlands Paddocks and the Land Owner against any losses, claims, actions, damages etc arising from your use of the field and the behaviour of your dog both inside and outside of the field including where a dog has bitten somebody or another dog.

 

9.0 Updates

 

9.1 Eastlands Paddocks may need to vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time, so please make sure to check back on our website frequently.

 

9.2 By making a booking, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions on the website at the time of making your booking.

 

9.3 Eastlands Paddocks reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions between the time of booking and your time slot, and if we do so they will contact you and provide the new Terms and Conditions. You have the right to cancel your booking once viewing the new Terms and Conditions, and please contact Eastlands Paddocks to do so on 07812 575578.

 

9.4 In the event of any inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions, the copy that is visible on the Eastlands Paddocks website takes precedence and they can only be updated in writing, not verbally or in person.

 

10.0 Personal data

 

10.1 We require some of your personal data to allow you to book with us. This data collected is: First Name, Last Name, Contact Number, Postal Address and Email Address. This data is required to enable Eastlands Paddocks to provide their service to the customers, to contact you in case of an emergency or changes to your booking, and for record keeping related to use of the fields. Your data is stored with the Eastlands Paddocks online booking system provider and 3rd party email platform.
